DIY Tuesday: Maraschino Cherries!
















Maraschino Cherries

Step #1: Put on a HUGE ruby ring in a gorgeous shade of cherry red!
Step #2: Adorn your arm with a chic gold link bracelet (similar one here).
Step #3: Wash & pit 1 cup of cherries.
Step #4: To a saucepan add 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, a cinnamon stick and a pinch of nutmeg. Bring to a boil.
Step #5: Add the cherries and let simmer for five minutes.
Step #6: Remove from heat and add 1 cup of amaretto.
Step #7: Fill a small mason jar with cherries and liquid. Refrigerate for up to two weeks.
Step #8: Make yourself a Cherry Lime Champagne Cocktail!

  2. Step 4 has what looks like a cinnamon stick, but I don't see it in the recipe instructions. Looks yummy, btw!
