Winter Sangria
One 750 ml bottle of red wine
1 grapefruit (sliced into circles)
1 lemon (sliced into circles)
1 orange (sliced into circles)
1 kiwi (sliced into circles)
Juice of 2 oranges (Appx. ¾ cup)
Juice of 2 lemon (Appx. ½ cup)
1 cup simple syrup
Club soda (to top)
Slice grapefruit, lemon, orange and kiwi. Add fruit and fruit juice to a bowl and pour in one 750 ml bottle of red wine. Next add ½ of the simple syrup (reserve the other half for guests to adjust the sweetness of their individual drinks). Briefly stir mixture and chill for at least 2 hours (overnight is best), to allow for the flavors to fully develop. Serve with a little bit of fruit in each glass. Just before serving top off each glass with club soda (if not using club soda, reduce amount of simple syrup to taste). Give each glass a stir.

I'll be wearing dresses on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, however the outfit I'm most excited about it my New Years Eve outfit. Sequin leggings!, top to be determined, and my highest heels, with a cocktail in hand
ReplyDeleteIf its a real white Christmas I be in my chore clothes out enjoying the sheep and cattle while feeding them, if it's a brown Christmas the time spent with the livestock will be shorter, I will be in my best cowboy regalia to celebrate the season. Merry Christmas

ReplyDeleteAnother favorite memory would have to be the Christmas I got a red velvet dress that my mom broke the bank on. My parents had a fight until he saw me in it, and thought it was totally worth whatever a washing machine or whatever we went with out could have cost. Loved that dress. I was 7.

I will be wearing: On Christmas eve, a lovely black dress, pearls, red tights (for a splash of festive flair) and of course some nice heels. On Christmas, a silly Christmas sweater and some pajama/yoga pants ALL day!! :]

It's a Lilly Christmas over here! Tomorrow my husband and I are having our quiet little Christmas (Heel Yeah Jonah), Saturday we're going to my grandma's and church (ringpop Evie and green Pierre cardigan) and Christmas Day my whole family is coming to my parents' house (Shauna Big Bang). I haven't thought about when we visit my in-laws yet!
