We've recently become quite fond of a liqueur called Root by Art in the Age. It is very tasty and quite herbacious, like a handcrafted root beer. Although drinking it straight or with soda water is nice, we wanted to try something a little more daring...

Marga-Root-a

Makes 2

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

1/2 cup tequila

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup Root liqueur

Ice

Combine ingredients in a blender and blend!  Keep adding ice until you get a nice, slushy consistency.  Garnish with a sugar rim and a star anise.
