Want It Wednesday: Fluorescent Orange Nail Polish

OK,OK,OK, we were shopping at J. Crew recently and totally fell in LOVE with this amazingly bright (the photo DOES NOT do it justice) fluorescent orange nail polish called Crush Worthy by Face Stockholm!!!  We've been wearing it everywhere and getting all kinds of crazy compliments!

The best part is that it goes perfectly with all of our new fall fashion purchases like leopard print, camel and gold sequins! Oh yeah, and, well, there's also that whole Halloween thing happening soon...

DIY Tuesday: Bubblegum Necklace!

Bubblegum Necklace

Step #1: Put on a pretty, sparkly ring like this rhinestone bow by Betsey Johnson!
Step #2: Wrap your arms in bubblegum bracelets (This was our first bubblegum jewelry-making attempt inspired by Formal Fringe!)
Step #3: Select a fun, brightly colored ribbon
Step #4: Cut a piece about double the length that you want your necklace to be
Step #5: Tie a knot near the end of the ribbon
Step #6: Gently poke holes in both ends of the gumball with a metal skewer (put gumballs in microwave for a few seconds to soften them)
Step #7: Thread a large tapestry needle with your ribbon
Step #8: Pull your ribbon through both holes in the gumball
Step #9: Tie a knot on the other side of the gumball
Step #10: Continue the process until it's as long as you want it!

PS: Graybee loves her new bubblegum collar!  (Don't worry, we took it off right after the photo was taken!)

Mezcal Margarita on the Rocks!

We bought a bottle of mezcal for our dad last year in Mexico, and with the exception of a few sips, it had just been sitting there collecting dust in his liquor cabinet. So we thought we'd steal it back and get creative! He helped us out by taste-testing some of our creations, and he really liked this margarita!

Mezcal Margarita

Makes 1

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons mezcal
1 tablespoon triple sec
1-2 teaspoons agave

Add ingredients to a shaker and shake!  Pour over ice.  Salt rim if desired.

Drink This, Wear That: In The Boardroom

Today's featured liquor is Lovejoy-a handcrafted vodka in a super chic bottle, which is important to us because we always judge a liquor by it's bottle!  Throw on these minty green tweed pumps by Aperlai and strap on this pretty plaid bag by Vivienne Westwood and you're ready for the boardroom!  And if the meeting gets a little boring, whip up a batch of our Thin Mint-tinis to go with your shoes! Why not? They do it all the time on Mad Men!

Celebrity (sort of) Showdown: Kasey Kahl vs. Flannery Good

So if you didn't see Kasey Kahl last year on The Bachelorette, you probably saw him on an EVEN better show called...wait for it...The Bachelor Pad! We met the "star" at an event where a friend insisted on taking our picture with him. Believe it or not, the most annoying thing about him wasn't that he walked around big balla' style with a bottle of $4 "champagne" in his hand, it was that he didn't seem the least bit interested when Flannery let him know that he wasn't the only reality TV star in the room. She was, after all, a star in the Norwegian reality TV hit Alt for Norge! What's that you say???  You want to see some footage???  Well, if you insist...

The guy does deserve a little credit, however, for contributing the funniest line to Bachelor Pad history- "I'm gonna go take a Jake and wipe my Pavelka".  HIGH-larious!
