Mojito Monday: Cantaloupe & Basil

Say "Hello" to our little friend...The Cantaloupe & Basil Mojito!

We always tell the truth, even when we lie.

The world is yours!

Welcome to a new weekly installment that we like to call Mojito Monday!  If you can't tell by now, we're just slightly obsessed with the 1983 iconic gangster film Scarface.  We've seen it a million times, we can recite the film line by line (accent and everything), and when we think of Cuba (the birthplace of the Mojito), refugee Tony Montana is the first thing that comes to mind!

Today's mojito is a tasty way to use up garden herbs and ripe melons.  Salud!

Cantaloupe & Basil Mojito

Makes 1

10 small basil leaves
1 cup cantaloupe pieces (roughly chopped)
2 ounces white rum
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
Club soda

In a glass muddle basil, cantaloupe, sugar and lime juice.  Add rum and stir.  Fill glass with crushed ice and top off with club soda.  Now say goodnight to the bad guy.
