Jersey Shore Champagne Cocktail

We were so inspired by the debut of Jersey Shore Season 3 that we made a cocktail just for the occasion!   And while we don't normally watch that crap, we take this blogging thing very seriously and it's our duty as cocktail journalists to keep up with pop culture. (Just kidding, we watch it and LOVE it!  But we hate ourselves in the morning, if that makes you feel any better.)

Behold the Jersey Shore Champagne Cocktail-It's Italian, it's orange and it's a "blast in a glass!"  HO!!!!  Now obviously this drink is too classy for the cast, but you need a cocktail that says, "Even though I happen to be watching this mindless drivel, I am a highly cultured and intelligent individual."  Bottoms up! (That's what The Situation said!!!)

Jersey Shore Champagne Cocktail

Makes 1

Champagne
1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
½ ounce Vanilla Simple Syrup (see recipe below)
½ ounce Campari
Freshly grated orange zest

To a champagne flute add orange juice, Vanilla Simple Syrup, Campari, and orange zest. Top with champagne and gently stir.

Vanilla Simple Syrup
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
1 whole vanilla bean (seeds scraped out)

Combine water, sugar, vanilla bean and seeds in a medium saucepan. Boil until sugar has dissolved, stirring frequently. Let sit for at least one hour. Let cool, strain and store in refrigerator.

Now go get your GTL on!!!

  1. HAHAHAHA! Oh my gawwd, I'm dying. This cocktail sounds delish, and yes, I too, feel worse in the morning, but it's so damn entertaining! Can't wait for tomorrow ;)

  2. This is GREAT! I have only seen the first season of the shore, but if I had a cocktail like this by my side I'm sure I could commit to MANY more episodes!
