Christmas Cocktail #2- Thin Mint-tini

Remember the good ole days of hustlin' Girl Scout cookies?  Yeah, we tried to block out those bad memories too.  But ANYTHING's better than the nightmare that was the Jog-A-Thon! Seriously???  Why would your next-door neighbor want to pledge a dollar for every time you ran around a track?  But back to the cookies...we would certainly never block out the deliciousness of those classic Thin Mints!  And now that you're all grown up you can stop making everyone else rich and start enjoying the finer things in life, like a cocktail version of that infamous cookie! The 12 Days of Christmas Cocktails continues with The Thin Mint-tini, a seriously decadent treat.  And trust us, there's nothing "thin" about it!  It is a thick, chocolatey, minty dream come true. And that cookie crumble rim???  Well there are no words...

The Goods

Dip, Baby, dip!

Voilà!  The Thin Mint-tini

Now we often get asked, "What should I be wearing while drinking one of your fabulous cocktails?"  Here are two minty ensembles to get those fashion juices flowing...

On Katherine: Cashmere sweater and leather belt by J.Crew,
Silk top by French Connection
On Flannery: Cashmere Sweater by Ralph Lauren Black Label

Thin Mint-tini

Makes 1

1½ ounces heavy cream
1 ounce Godiva Milk Chocolate Liqueur
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce Hershey's Chocolate Syrup (plus extra for rim)
¼ teaspoon peppermint extract (We like Nielsen-Massey's because the flavor is fabulous and the label is just so chic!)
10 Chocolate wafer cookies (smashed with a rolling pin)
Ice

Add chocolate liqueur, vodka, chocolate syrup, peppermint extract and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until a frost forms. Dip rim of glass into a plate of chocolate syrup and then dip into a plate of crumbled chocolate cookies.  Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a jaunty sprig of mint!
And remember: A-B-C. A=Always, B=Be, C=Closing. Always be closing, always be closing.
