Well we’ve really done it this time! We’ve invented a cocktail that’s good for you! Wait, WHAT? Yes, it’s true! And even if we’re lying... they’re delicious, so who cares? As you may or may not know Chia Seeds were once the food of the Aztecs, and are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. So drink up, because these things are healthy and delicious!

Strawberry, Basil & Chia Seed Mojito
1 teaspoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons sugar
4 ripe, roughly chopped strawberries
5 fresh, torn basil leaves
2-4 tablespoons white rum
Club soda to top off
Before you begin, soak the chia seeds in 2 tablespoons of water for 15 minutes.
Combine lime juice, sugar, strawberries and basil leaves in a highball glass. Next muddle ingredients together. Add 2-4 tablespoons of white rum (depending on how "Fashionably Bombed" you want to get!) and stir. Next add pre-soaked chia seeds and stir. Finally, add crushed ice and top off with club soda. Garnish with a basil-stuffed strawberry!
